George Lazarou - AESFA Director
George Lazarou an ex- National League player in Australia, having played for Sydney Olympic in the former National Soccer League during the early 1980's. After a career at the top level, George moved into the coaching ranks. He has a 5 year stint with Stanmore Hawks FC in their youth squads including the U18's State League squad. He then moved to coaching Canterbury-Marrickville U21's in the NSW Super League. George Lazarou has also been the head Coach at MSC Liverpool FC and once again with another stint at Stanmore Hawks FC. 

In recent times he has taken on the Director of Coaching role at Belmore Hercules FC that also included the development and implementation of a Junior Development Program in the junior league teams and Senior State League teams.

Peter Tsekenis - AESFA Director
Peter Tsekenis is currently playing in the State League with top club Bankstown City Lions FC. Prior to the demise of the old National League, Peter Tsekenis enjoyed a professional career, which commenced at St. George Budapest FC and went on to Sydney Olympic FC and Newcastle United FC.

Representative honours include Young Soccer-Roos in 1993 and 1996 (AIS select), NSW representative at both Senior and Junior levels, NSW Schoolboys representative and a place in the Frank Arok Apprenticeship Scheme. Peter was voted Player of the Year 2004 - 2005 with Bankstown City Lions FC and 2003 - 2004 with Newcastle United FC, as well as Man of the Match in Youth World Cup 1993, Australia vs Columbia. 

Peter is the current player - coach of the 2004 - 2005 back-to-back Grand Final winners, Bankstown City Lions FC. Prior to his coaching stint at Bankstown City Lions FC, Peter Tsekenis was also a Schools Development Officer for 3 years whilst he played at Sydney Olympic FC.

John Haynes
John works closely not only with the senior players but also the juniors. John’s vast knowledge of the game and experience playing at a high level, has helped many young talented players of the AESFA reach their potential. John is viewed as a senior coach at the academy.

Trinity Allen - AESFA Goalkeeper Coach
Trinity Allen is currently playing with St George Saints in the NSW Winter Super League. Trinity previously played for Sydney Olympic and Wollongong Wolves in the former National Soccer League.

Representative honours include being a NSW Institute of Sport Scholarship holder and selection for the Australian and NSW Schoolboys in 1994. Trinity was an Australian Institute of Sport Scholarship holder in 1995 and was selected for the NSW Under 20's in 1996. Trinity was also selected for the trial squad for the Young Socceroos for the 1997 World Youth Cup. Overseas tours with these teams saw Trinity playing matches in Korea, New Caledonia, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

  • Awarded Goal Keeper of the year in 2007 for the N.S.W State Super League competition

Andrew Lazarou - AESFA Administrator – Coach – School Development Officer
Andrew Lazarou, been a part of the Elite programme since 2006. In his youth he played for the Blacktown City Demons, whilst moving on to a  scholarship programme at the NSW Institute of Sport. In 2003, Andrew moved on to play professional football in Cyprus for APOEL F.C while touring the UK and Italy.

Upon his arrival back into the country, Andrew played for the Wollongong Wolves in the 2006 Premier League season, also coaching at Cranbrook School and the AESFA. He currently holds a Youth Licence

Daniel Fallico - Physiologist
Daniel works closely with both the senior and junior groups. Daniel’s Sports Science background has allowed the AESFA to incorporate motor control and learning principles, specialised periodisation programs and much more into the academy's training regime. Along with this, his ability to coach the fundamental basics of the game to young players is incredible.

Sami Karam - Senior Osteopath
B.App.Sc (osteo) M.Osteo B.A.M.O. AOA

After working as an assistant and then as an Osteopath for 6 years at the Peakhurst Osteopathic Sports Medicine Clinic, Sami started the Parramatta Sports Medicine Clinic in 2005. In 2001 he was the head physician for the Petersham Soccer Club, then from 2002-2004 he was the head physician for the Southern Star Sharks Soccer Club in the NSW State League. In 2005 Sami became the head physician for the St George Crows AFL Club in the NSW Premier League, and acts as a consultant till the present day. He is a guest lecturer at the University of Western Sydney Osteopathy program, registered with the NSW Osteopaths Registration Board and a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association.

Petros Menelaou - Sprint trainer & Conditioner
It is Petros first year with the academy, he comes with a great passion for coaching children and thrives on their progression. Petros studies took him to Luton University of England finishing his Sport and Exercise Science degree then moving to Australia to complete a bachelor’s degree at ACU of Sydney. Petros also holds a current AFC ‘B’ license which has seen him been involved with Gladesville Spirit, Penrith Nepean and Fraser Park
