EUROPEAN FOOTBALL TRAINING COMING TO WOLLONGONG Australian Elite Soccer - Football Academy is opening a permanent branch in "The Gong".
The directors of the AESFA in the Wollongong region will be Ballamadou Conde and Ilija Prenzoski who are both current first grade players at Wollongong and highly regarded in the local football community. Both have played at the highest level, including the old National League and overseas. Conde and Prenzoski are also the current youth development officers. Both players approached the AESFA with the idea to start a branch in Wollongong. It was their belief that the AESFA has the perfect formula for giving talented students the ideal training for potential professional football careers.
AESFA Wollongong will be based on the same successful training practices as the head Academy in Sydney, teaching talented players all they need to know to carve a successful football career.
Wollongong AESFA will provide the opportunity for graduating students to feed directly into professional clubs in their area, country or overseas through the AESFA.
Training at the Wollongong AESFA will start during the school holiday period as a normal school clinic. There will be an opportunity for all junior players aged between 5 to 13 years to come along and improve their skills and get a feel for what to expect from this professional academy.
Once the school holidays are over, talented players from 5 to 16 years of age will be given the opportunity to continue at the AESFA for the rest of this year, training a couple of times a week. This will allow players to continue playing with their current clubs while also furthering their skills at the AESFA.
The aim of the Wollongong AESFA is to bring international standard training to the young players in the area at a very low cost. Offering students everything they need to achieve their goals will ensure the future of the game in Australia.
